On Tues Sept 20th at 6pm, Tyler started having stomache pain. Of course I thought he just didn't want to eat his supper and told him to go lay down. Within a hour and half he was puking his guts out. I was thinking it was just some stomache bug, but Tyler was begging to go see a doctor. So I got an appointment in with the after hours doctor at our regular office. Needless to say, it wasn't stomache flu and we were sent to the ER, Cardon Children's Hospital at Banner Desert where it was determined that Tyler had Acute non-perforated Apendicitis. On Wednesday, Sept 21st at 12:00 he had it removed.
The following pictures are from the surgery.
Just a few pictures of Tyler's insides.... The appendix is the brown tubular looking organ near the top metal clamp.
And below is after they cut it out.

This picture shows the appendix cut away and preparing to pull it through the belly button. And below is a picture of his liver and gall bladder, which are both healthy.
Needless to say, Tyler is feeling much better. He was released from the hospital on Thursday, Sept 22nd. He is on limited play at school for the next few weeks. He is feeling great and healing well.
