Just a few more fun pictures of Jacob

This is one of my favorite Jacob pictures. I was messing around with the features on my camera and got a great picture. He is about 4 and has his beloved cow blanket on his head. This is Jacob's first try with baby food. He was quite the messy eater as a baby. And could be very demanding. But I was a young patient mother back then and thought the messes were cute.
Jacob has loved baseball all his life. Any chance he could get, he'd wear his Dad's hats and carry around a glove.
This is Jacob's 1st halloween costume. They are also really cool pj's. The best part...all 4 boys have worn these pj's.

Jacob's birthday tribute

This is Jacob at 18 months old. He was such a good boy. Always happy. Jacob at 3 days old. He was born on Oct 10, 1999 at 10:26pm. He weighed 9lbs 7 oz. My first and my biggest. He loved to scratch his face, hence all the marks. I would keep his hands wrapped, but every time the nurses took him away they brought him back with a new scratch from uncovering his hands.

This is Jacob at 4 years old. Wild hair!
Jacob about age 8. He can be such a funny kid sometimes.

Happy Birthday Jacob!

I cannot believe that Jacob is 10! His birthday isn't officially until Saturday, but we celebrated his party on Thurs due to October Break starting this weekend and we thought he'd have a better turn out. He chose to go to Peter Piper Pizza for his party. This is good and bad. Good...I didn't have to clean the house, make up games and entertain 5-8 10 year old boys. Bad...yikes 10 year old boys eat a lot of pizza and go through the game tokens fast! But they had a great time. My parents were able to come and my friend Heidi stayed to visit through the party. Happy Birthday Jacob! He told me that he wanted a Marble cake. Then when he got home from school he said he wanted a chocolate chocolate cake. In the end, he was happy he even got a cake. I was lazy this year and just picked one up at Bashas. Birthday cake was the last thing on my mind right now.
Here is the majority of our table watching Jacob open his presents. They don't look like a lively bunch...but looks can be deceiving!

The motley crew! Of course, brothers had to get in on the picture. Aaron kept running around the group trying to find a place where he could put up bunny ears. That boy is crazy. We are so lucky Jacob has good friends/boys in the ward and school. All these boys were polite and fun.

The birthday cake, pre-candles.
I am planning on adding baby pictures of Jacob, we will see if I can get around to it this weekend. I am so proud of Jacob. He is a bright and helpful boy. He is my oldest and is naturally becoming the leader of our pack of boys. He loves Legos and anything associated with the military. I love my boy! Happy Birthday!

Jacob earned his Bear Award

Jacob earned his Bear award last night at Pack Meeting. Now these are not the best pictures of myself and Joe, but they are great of Jacob and its all about him anyways. Jacob had to put his hand in the Bear trap to retrieve a bead. The trap contained mashed potatoes, soggy pretzels and raisins! My doing, of course. You could smell the mashed potatoes, and they were cold from being in the fridge.

The pictures are not in the correct order, so start at the bottom and work your way up for the correct order.

For some reason, he couldn't find the beads. I had just layed them on top of the potatoes, but when he put his hand in, he pushed them further in too.

We are so proud of Jacob. He loves Cub Scouts. I think it's the uniform.

We have been so lucky to serve in the Cub Scouts. Not only because it is fun. But because our boys love it. Tyler will join this upcoming January and cannot wait.

Box Boy Jared

Jared was having a great time on Conference Sunday....playing in a box. We found him talking to himself and thought it was soooo cute. He even gave me a smile.
This is before he realized I was taking his pictures. Joe and I watched him for a few minutes before I grabbed the camera and got his attention with the flash. All my boys have loved playing in boxes at this age. It makes me wonder why I buy toys for them. Cardboard boxes and plastic tubs are a boys best toy. I wish I could say they grow out of it, but I know if I had a large refridgerator size box all my boys would go nuts over it!

He's just at such a fun age. Now only if the tantrums didn't come with the fun!

Tyler's Night Out

Tyler got to go with his Dad on a special boys night out. Joe has decided to take each of the boys out alone and do something special with them. Tyler decided he wanted to go to the mall. Of course he came home with a Detroit Tiger's baseball cap. He loves anything associated with Tigers. These pictures were taken on Conference Sunday, you can see conference on in the background. And of course, Aaron our monster just had to get in the picture. Anyways....I love the idea of Joe taking the boys each out for their own adventure every once in a while. It's great for their relationship, father and son.

It got postponed!

My hopes were dashed at 4:40am. I got back from picking up the babysitter and found Joe on the phone with the balloon company. Apparantly the wind was blowing in the wrong direction and with the amount of moisture in the air, it was not good flying conditions. We have rescheduled our Hot Air Balloon ride for Oct 12th. Luckily my babysitter said she can babysit then also. So we will try again.
